Sukhdeo Sahay Madheshwar Sahay Degree College was established in March 2010 to provide accessible graduate education to students of Tarhasi and nearby rural areas. The college operates from its academic and administrative campus and is affiliated to N.P. University, Medininagar.

Having this faith, we started in early-March 2010 this Sukhdeo Sahay Madheshwar Sahay Degree College at Tarhasi, with 'Arts' stream only. Later on, 'Commerce' stream was also added to the curriculum. Now, we have added 'Science' stream as well. We are pleased to announce our new prospectus which contains all information related to infrastructural, academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities running in the college. The advancements in the college in all fields is adding a golden feather in the cap of college. You will feel proud to be a part of this institution. This gives me Immense pleasure to acquaint students that S.S.M.S. Degree College Tarhasi is now imparting teaching in Humanities, Social Science, Science and Commerce stream up to graduate level. सुखदेव सहाय मधेश्वर सहाय डिग्री कॉलेज, तरहसी, पलामू की स्थापना 1 मार्च 2010 में की गई। पलामू जिले के तरहसी प्रखण्ड की छात्राएं उच्च शिक्षा से वंचित रह जाती थी अतः उनके समाज में सशक्तिकरण स्थापित करने हेतु महाविद्यालय की स्थापना की गई है। महाविद्यालय का नामकरण संरक्षक माननीय श्री सुबोध कान्त सहाय पूर्व केन्द्रीय मंत्री के दादा जी एवं चाचा जी के नाम किया गया तथा पैतृक सम्पत्ति की जमीन का 10 एकड़ 48.5 डिसमिल माननीय राज्यपाल, सह-कुलाधिपति (झारखण्ड) सरकार के नाम से रजिस्ट्री किया गया। महाविद्यालय अपने नव निर्मित शैक्षणिक एवं प्रशासनिक भवन में संचालित है। वर्तमान में शैक्षणिक सत्र 2020-23, 2021-24 एवं 2022-25 में नामांकित छात्र-छात्राओं की संख्या लगभग 3500 है। जिन्हें प्राध्यापको के द्वारा गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा प्रदान किया जा रहा है। यह सत्र परीक्षाफल प्रकाशनो से स्वतः लक्षित है। क्षेत्र की जनता को बताना चाहता हूँ कि पूर्व की तरह प्रयास जारी रहेगा ताकि महाविद्यालय का उत्तरोत्तर विकास होता रहे। शुभकामनाओं सहित
